As some of you may know, I gave my life to Christ a little over a year and the journey has been amazing ever since, through the good and the bad. I was thinking about why it took so long for me to get to him, I came to the conclusion that it was because of PEOPLE!

I always think that I don’t care what others have to say about me, which for the most part is true, but when it came to stepping into a church I honestly feared stepping into one. I was living in a life FULL of sin, but I was also afraid of what “Christians” would think of me and my life. It wasn’t until I finally came to the point where I NEEDED Jesus in my life and nothing was going to get in the way of me getting to him was when I effortlessly stepped into a church.  With all that being said, I’d like to address a problem that I have encountered in the “Christian” community. I have found that a lot of “Christians”  approach people with condemnation instead of LOVE.

From personal experience, I know that you will never win someone over by making them feel bad, but instead approaching them with LOVE and a sense of understanding. As humans, all we want is to be LOVED, RESPECTED, and UNDERSTOOD. I know the wondrous feeling of being filled with the holy spirit and I would love nothing more than to have everyone feel the same way, but making people feel attacked is not the way. This is just a little something I had on my mind, I believe that more people would be followers of Christ if Christians approach situations with love and understanding instead of just trying to load them with information that they’ll never understand. As the old saying goes, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS! Until next time...
